China's transformer output value reached $43.54 billion.

BEIJING China's transformer manufacturing industry has solidified its position as a global leader, with total output value projected to exceed $43.54 billion (300 billion yuan) by 2025. According to an industry report released on March 20, China currently accounts for more than half of the global production capacity.
Luo Junjie, executive vice president of the China Machinery Industry Federation, noted that the industry has also fostered a group of highly influential enterprises. Emphasizing that transformers are an indispensable component of power systems, Luo highlighted a strategic shift in recent years: the industry is moving beyond mere expansion of production scale to focusing on improving quality and efficiency.
This transition has led to improved energy performance in key products, such as silicon steel and amorphous alloy transformers. Looking ahead, industry players are expected to focus on technological advancements to tackle material challenges, while also driving digital and intelligent integration to support smarter transformer operations, Luo added.
