Application of the tap changer is limited to triple-phase oil-insulated transformers with an oil-insulated frequency of 50Hz or 60Hz, an output voltage of 10KV or 35KV, and a rated through-current of 30A or 63A. These transformers must be immediately mounted on their tank covers and replaced when they are de-energized.
